I moved to Duncan from Switzerland in 2005 and started working at the Farm Store in August 2007. I have a background in organic market gardening (three years apprenticeship in Switzerland from 1986 – 89) which got me into the “produce department” at the store. My first trip to Canada was as a WWOOFER (willing workers on organic farms) and I fell in love with the country and decided to move here permanently. The job at the farm store is awesome, the team is wonderful to work with and we have lots of fun too. To get my hands in the dirt, I’m also helping Cindy, our “part-time farmer” to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, etc., at a local certified organic farm. In my spare time I love to do yoga, meditation and read a good book or go for a ride with my new electric bike.
