The
Community Farm Store Staff:
Cindy:

CINDY has been with the store since it moved to the Garage and is our full time
Grocery Buyer. As well as spending oodles of time at the store she shares her passion
for yoga and raises two teenagers part time. Life is full and Cindy believes that you
should love your work and let it be your life, instead of always trying to separate the
two. She is an avid organic gardener, (and by the way, has hung up her "part time"
farmer plaque for now) and believes she is now "living the life that she always
wanted..." hmmm And, there’s more to say about this amazing woman: To us, she is the medicine woman
of the valley, the greens queen of the island, the cleansing guru of Cowichan ... but
most important; she is the ordering chief of the Community Farm Store. Basically everything,
other than produce, arrives in our store thanks to Cindy’s efforts. She has
formed excellent relationships with all of our suppliers; and it is her we can thank for
our incredible products, the vast variety and the great prices! Her collection of catalogues
could surely sink a BC Ferry, and yet she always knows where to find what product
and who has the best prices. With great integrity, she sources out the best of the
best! Aside from her store, Cindy is mother to Ben, 16 and Hannah, 12. She has been in the health food business
for 14 years, and has been working with the Community Farm Store since it moved from Glenora. Some of you
might remember Cindy from her organic delivery service, On Route Organics; or from the three years she was selling
her alternative baking and organic produce at the local Farmers Market. Cindy, you’ll all agree, is a very talented
woman with a dynamic and colorful personality. Not only is it a privilege to work with her -- it’s a lot of
fun!!!!
