The
Community Farm Store Staff:
Lisa:

My husband Dave and I moved our family from Toronto five years ago leaving
behind lengthy commutes and very cold winters. My children Sophie and Beckett attend
Sunrise Waldorf school and my husband Dave sells advertising for the Save on Foods
Memorial Centre in Victoria and can often be found getting concert tickets for store employees!
Excluding 2008, I have spent the past summers selling my beeswax treasures,
flowers and soap at various farmers markets under the company name Sophie's
Choice. This winter I have had a very successful season selling at The Out of Hand in
Victoria, Kris Kringle in Qualicum and A Touch of Salt Spring . This year in particular,
many clients are interested in local, consumable products and I am so pleased to be
suppling them. As always at these events, it is a great opportunity for me to feel how
trends are moving through peoples consciousness, (in Victoria I could not give a plastic
bag away with a sale to save my life!) I will spend Christmas with my family on my dad’s
organic farm in Duncan, grateful for all the love in my life, and of course, for being a part
of the wonderful Farm Store family. I love you all!!!!
