Rebecca first became interested in the science of nutrition when a family member was diagnosed with cancer, this event led to extensive research on healing the body naturally which, in turn, became a fascination about how the body reacts to foods and how they can return the body to a state of health. This drive to help others led Rebecca to begin her formal studies in Holistic Nutrition. She loves empowering others to take their health and well-being into their own hands. The Community Farm Store is the perfect fit for her mission in life to pass on the gifts of health and knowledge to everyone. Her background in business management paired perfectly with her love of nutrition to help lead the CFS team into the future.
Her holistic approach to health also addresses the mind-body-spirit connections that can have positive and negative effects on the body. In her free-time away from the Farm Store she is busy with her business Shawnigan Lake Nutrition & Kickboxing, is a fitness trainer, teaches kickboxing classes and offers full nutrition consulting services & exercise plans to complement you on your journey to health! Lucus - Assistant Manager
I was born and raised on Vancouver Island and enjoy all aspects of this beautiful place. I spend my free time exploring the Cowichan valley with my wife, gardening and reading. I am passionate about the deforestation of Vancouver Island’s old growth rainforest, and educating others and myself about the dangers of wireless radiation. I also have a passion for ethically grown organic food; this is the reason why I work at The Community Farm Store. My 10 years of grocery knowledge combined with my love of “real food” makes me a strong member of the Community Farm Store team.
